I haven't gone back to work yet; doctor said I should stay in bed indefinitely. I'm soooo bored! I feel that I'll be well soon, though.

Regarding the Arashi side of life, I haven't checked anything much. I saw a clip of their performance in Hey3x, though. It's so weird to see them again after almost three months! Unfortunately, I don't have much energy yet to flail and jump and sing with the boys.

Thanks for the emails! I haven't answered them yet (couldn't stare at my pc for long, it makes me dizzy) but I was so glad when I read them! ^_________^

I AM sorry to hear about the relapse ... I've been out of fandom too just too busy and today was first day back at school. And first day for 'big school' for the boy.

I know that Ohno's new drama comes out next Friday. Jun got awarded (singer/actor category? I'm unsure) the Japan GQ (Gentleman's Quarterly) Men of the Year. I have not seen any of Johnny's Countdown.

Accoding to Oricon the boys did Really well.

Truth - No 1 Single of the Year
One Love - No 2 Single of the year
Beautiful Days - No 10 Single of the Year
Step and Go - No 12 Single of the Year!!!

Of all the updates that kegom supplied me with, the one on Ohno's drama excited me the most [biased, I am, I know]. But, I thought Uta no Oniisan will be start airing on January 16? So it's next week then?

Arashi updates... let's see, I don't know which of these things you already know about, but I'll tell you anyway, because it pleases me ;P

1.) They won some kind of best artist award, because they had the best selling single this year AND they also had singles in first and second place on the best-selling charts, which is something that hasn't happened in 19 years, so it's pretty amazing.

2.) Ohno will have another drama, which looks absolutely hilarious, as he plays a singer, whose band abandons him and whose family thinks he's a loser, and who gets a job as a "singing older brother" on a children's TV show. Most of the preview so far had Ohno in completely ridiculous but cute clothes getting mauled by little children, so it's definitely something to look forward to, I think. XD

3.) Arashi's been telling weird, slightly perverted stories on national TV again, probably just to make things a bit more interesting - oh, and of course they're 12 year olds at heart. XD
This time it's about an old guy at a massage parlour, who flipped their "things" to scrub down their intimate area, and Sho was kind enough to do a kind of (clothed) demonstration. XDD

4.) On HnA they tried to beat some kind of Guiness world record of t-shirt wearing, by putting as many t-shirts on Ohno as they could. They didn't succeed (had to stop at 160 shirts, I think), but it gave us a good time watching Ohno sweat and grimace and pout his way through the ordeal, while Jun had a great time (I'm pretty sure he gets off on seeing his bandmates helpless and suffering ;P) and Aiba was rather hyper; it also informed us that Ohno's weight is back to 53 kg and he's not scarily thin anymore, but that he can still fit into a women's size S. XD (This last information amuses me so much because it makes me feel like we're a fandom of collective mommies, worried about our baby's weight. XDD)

5.) There's been tons of subbed things in the last weeks, so much that, actually, that I have no idea when I'm supposed to download all of them. ^^"

Oh yes, it was annoying indeed. Vomitting on an average of 4 times a day can be very exasperating. But pain and discomfort only become words when they're over; they seem like a distant memory to me now (although I had a relapse last week and was retching on New Year's Eve. It sucks to be sick on holidays. >_<).

1. Checked this. I'm so happy that Truth/Kaze no Mukou e became No. 1! I thought for sure it was One Love (which, compared to other Arashi songs, I don't like much. Although the video made the song much more interesting).

2. WOW! This update is the most exciting one for me! Ohno singing and getting mauled by kids! Have to see the clips! I wonder if he's as adorable with children as Sho in YnM and Nino (and Sho again) in YTM. He can be wonderful with kids, I think, as was shown in various Kodomo no Bangohan episodes. Can the sight of Ohno with kids induce ovulation overdrive in fangirls? This we have to verify.

3. I looked for this immediately after reading your comment! Oh Arashi, I'm so glad you're still a bunch of dorks! And of course, Sho HAD to demonstrate!

4. HAVE TO SEE THIS! And I'm glad Ohno's 53kg again; hope he maintains that. I wish he still had his Truth hairstyle, though.

5. I can't wait to check the comms for stuff to download! Any recommendations? Is Ryusei no Kizuna good?

It looks like Kegom did an amazing job of catching you upin fandom, so I'm not sure what I would add there. As for me, I survived my first semester as a prof and am spending the holidays with my family. Probably the most notable thing this fall other than that was getting mugged, which was not fun, but happily occurred without serious injury or property loss *__* But I'm seriously considering moving to a safer neighborhood . . .

mmm . . . fandom has been crazy with the subbing and some really good fics have been running about . . . I'bve been watching tons and tons of drama on a crazy binge and am embarking on a quest to indoctrinate my sister in law over Christmas in the joys of jdrama. I've been inspired by Zan's success in getting her m-i-l to fall in love with Maou ^_^

I just arrived in IL from the 19 hour drive this afternoon, so my next thing is just to go to bed ^^"

I'm still finding it hard to be in front of the pc for more than an hour, and although I am feeling a lot better, my doctor said I should just stay in bed. So for the last couple of weeks, I've been re-reading my Sandman and reading some books I bought three months ago (Have just read Sandman: Dream Hunters. And fell in love with Gaiman all over again. I did finish American Gods, and you're right, it's good. I'm so glad that it's waaaaaaaay better than Neverwhere and Anansi Boys, and almost as fabulous as his short stories).

I can't wait to be fully well so that I can flail with you guys again! ♥♥♥

Kegom's update was awesome!! There's also a Himitsu where Aiba and Jun play a Maou-related prank on Ohno which is utterly hilarious!! I think it was either episode 12 or 13. Highly recommended ^_^ And I can figure out which is right . . .

I like the Yama pair as well, though I also really love Sakuraiba, when it's well-done and not borderline creepy daddy/child characterized. I'm being more careful with my walks, which in a way is good, and otherwise kind of sad. I used to walk in addition to my walks to campus, for fun, but not so much now. On the other hand, I now have the WiiFit exercise game for my Wii, which means I get to exercise with little Arashi avatars, which is completely hysterical sometimes. Imagine jogging in a virtual environment, and in front of you the little chibi Sho trips and falls and you pass him. That happened on Monday, and I almost stopped jogging, I was laughing so hard ^_^

I miss picwar ^_^; Locky says she'll be putting one up soon, but is searching for the perfect costume. I'm worried about running out of ammo and keep hoping JE will release the new concert dvd pronto ^^" I'm pretty sure it was confirmed and not just fangirl wish fulfillment . . . I remember concert reports saying that there was clear DVD filming afoot . . .

I'm feeling a bit better than I did a few weeks back. :D I apologize if I suddenly disappeared. Everything was so sudden, I didn't have the time nor the energy to make a hiatus post. It has been tough for me, the last three months -- too dizzy to watch an Arashi clip. Hell, I was even too sick to listen to Arashi songs! I'm so glad that episode of my life is almost over!
